Cabaniss 86 Son
After his second lamb crop, we feel we know where Johnny's place in our flock truly is. Matching up his style and look to ewes that are extremely powerful should be the real ticket. The Johnny ram lambs were admired by many at Sedalia, and his females make a beautiful ewe lamb pasture scene. We're looking forward to the Johnny lambs in 2008!

We picked this 86 son out of the late March pen at the Cabaniss farm in 2005. He sired a few late lambs in 2006 that were well received, and you sure liked his lambs on our 2006 Genetics in Progress sale. He throws power with lots of look. His lambs are consistently awesome! We think he's the one of the best, most consistent sires we've ever used.

After heavily using Johnny this fall for January babies, we chose to sell half interest to Impact Hamps of Wisconsin.

Composure Son
This Allred/Elliott buck bred a very consistent set of lambs. He's a pure power ram that sired a lot of rib shape, along with a tremendous top. The lambs we sold were grooved up and massive in their rack. We sold a lot of T daughters on our sale, but kept a hand full around as breeding pieces for years to come.

Big Time x Slambo Daughter
This Big Time son is powered up, level & square hipped, with a great front end.
Jeronimo has been sold to Toby Oliver, TX.

Big Fish was our pick out of Mike Hancock's rams in 2003. He was quite a catch! His rams sold around the country and his ewe lambs are doing their job here and for other breeders as well.

Big Fish was a framey sheep with a lot of type and style. He made them extreme fronted with enough power following behind. We used him for two years and he matched up very well with our powerfully bred females. His lambs are jacked up and level topped! Our keeper replacements are the best we've ever had. For two years now, they've done a superb job. Some of the best mommas, ever!

Betta Listen x Miller Ewe
We really liked this buck as a baby. He ended up being a bottle lamb, but grew into the buck we had hoped for. His lambs were really extreme and massive. Predictability is bred in, as his twin sister is a great one and his full brother won the 2004 MN State Fair 4-H show. We lost Hulk after one breeding season, but have several daughters and a son working for us now.

Sponge Bob x Hancock Wt. 3150
Can you say Black Hamps? This ram is good bugger and he is 7/8 Hamp. This guy didn't make the old-fashioned, traditional blue sheep. He is extremely deep flanked with a hip and loin-edge like a dinner plate. He made naturals with some bone and the Hamp characteristics.

This buck's sire, Miller 376, and dam, Rupp's full sister, are both moderate, complete and powerful. We think Big Time is the widest hipped, widest pinned buck that we've ever seen and his first babies are just what we had hoped for. We used him for mid February - March and April lambs. You'll be sure to see some of his lambs down the road.

Nemo (left & right @ 1 month, center @ 6 months)

We bought a set of bred ewes from Mike Hancock, and Nemo was one of the lambs that came out of that purchase. This ram is lined up 31 genetics. We were excited about him when he was a baby, and we're still excited as we watch him grow out. He adds tons of muscle and bone to his lambs. If you need a powered up sheep, you must take a look at the Nemo babies!

Big Guy x T45 (Tae-Bo Despain)
A line bred ram with an awesome future!! Sponge Bob was triplet born and raised as a bottle lamb. He was named "Sponge Bob" at an early age because of his "square pants." Wide hipped lambs with an extreme dock set will be his trademark. On the move or on the brace his hip is "square". His sister and brother were of the same design. The sister was reserve at her county fair in South Dakota and his brother won a number of jackpots in Illinois. He saw limited action in 2003, but we expect to use him harder in coming years. Sponge Bob's mother was also a triplet. Her brother was shown successfully by the Stamey family in GA. Her sister was shown by the Maxwell family in IA

Slambo x Cabaniss Granddaughter
Big Guy has sired some "Big Time" lambs last year. They were jacked-up, extended and stylish, with lots of top and hip. He's a proven sire that throws especially great wethers and ewe lambs. This is one of the biggest buck you'll ever see. He's all of 38 inches and make them bigger while still providing the power that is needed in the showring today.

We're getting too lined up, and we need more space in the ram pens. We've kept back an awesome set of ewe lambs from two lamb crops and are really pleased with the mothering ability these ewes possess.

Patent x Stroker
An Allred/Elliot buck that did us a ton of good. We've kept back some '04 ewe lambs and are excited about their first lamb crop. Thanks to Steve Westlake, OH, fpr purchasing this fine buck.

Cabaniss 118 x Stroker
We’ve sold R.C., but he’s left a fantastic genetic imprint in our ewe flock. His daughters are awesome mommas and will surely keep his legacy going. Congratulations to Toby Oliver, TX, on his selection of a tremendous proven stud buck.

Slambo became our “work horse” in 2000 and 2001. Although moderate in height at 35" (yearling height) he provided some nice pieces for the puzzle. He added a massive loin edge and a power top with just enough pretty. Finer made ewes were the perfect fit for Slambo. He generated both Hamp appearing and black pelted lambs with different mating schemes. A number of Slambo rams are currently being used in flocks around the country and a large number of his females are serving as a nice base to our flock.

Tae-Bo softened our massive sheep in 2000. An awesome bracing, late maturing buck, with no chest floor; purchased from the Rule family this ram had the look. A number of Tae-Bo rams were sold at Sedalia and off of the farm. Unfortunately he didn’t survive for a second lamb crop, however he did leave behind a great son in “Slambo.”

Spanky Spanky became the "Chosen One" in 1997. Dammed by a awesome Harrell 9 daughter purchased in the Smallwood flock dispersion and sired by Spook, he made everything bigger and better for a number of years. He and his mother were "standouts" in their day. Its not often that we use a ram for more than two lamb crops, Spanky saw use for five turns and then went on to see use in Ohio for a couple more years.

Spook started adding extra dimension in 1996. Dammed by our lead show ewe "Toonces", he generated extreme power. The lambs were leaner and harder muscled at a time when muscle shape was tough to find.
