The latest addition to our ram battery.

INTRODUCING...

MASSIVE Miller
Masterpiece x Miller Y-4, Y-4 is a DaVinci daugher. DaVinci is a Masterpiece son.

Never before have we had a ram that we have spent more time talking and thinking about than Massive. A specific example is it took us 6 months just to name him.

From the day we purchased him from the Miller family we knew he was special. Many names surfaced the list... Lucky, Shotgun and Nick of Time were first on the list because we purchased him over the phone as others were in the pen with him at Seagraves. Phone a Friend was the next possibility as we purchased this ram sight unseen at the adamant recommendation of a good friend. When we talked with Jim Miller, he solidified the decision: as he is never one to over-sell his genetics ... he stated "this was a GOOD one."

The next names that came out over the summer were: Power Up, Woody, Durable and other plays on power, bone and muscle. His pictures pretty much sum him up: Massive in every regard... bone, rib, muscle, hip, pin, butt, depth of flank and twist. All that power yet he holds his head high and his lines are impeccable. Pictured as a near two-year-old, having just been pulled from 80 ewes, he shows he's durable!

We have a number of lambs on the ground, some of which are out of Master Card daughters. Lining up the Masterpiece genetics, we've created the most intriguing lambs we've ever had.

Over the past two years, Master Card has not let us down! His lambs have shown and sold very well and we've lined him up even better for 2010.

With wins from several states reported (see our Past Performers page), and with calls coming in for ram and ewe lambs, Master Card has made impressions on many. In 2008, he received kudos for siring Miller's top selling yearling ewe at Sedalia for $5250. She was third high selling Hampshire ewe and fourth high selling ewe of the day. That's a testimony to how popular his genetics are becoming!

We were excited to have had the opportunity to purchase Master Card as a yearling from the Jim Miller Family. Thanks to several friends in the sheep industry we were led to Seagraves, TX. Home of the great Masterpiece. Millers offered us pick of their yearlings prior to Sedalia, and we came home with Master Card, a Masterpiece son. His lambs are powered up, square, beyond level topped, long and percentage great! His pedigree is impressive as well, Buckmaster is on both the top and bottom side. We really think this is the ticket, and his lambs are proving us right.

SELLING 1/2 INTEREST AND POSSESSION
LeRoy Brown proved to add bone, butt and length to our lambs. A Dog son out of a full sister to the famous "Starr" ewe, this guy makes powerful sheep with lots of look.

We kept back one of his sons last year, and we are looking forward to see what he can do.
Purchased at Sedalia from Hindman Club Lambs

Top 10 LeRoy lambs in our 2009 sale averaged $750
20 on the sale averaged $610
Four ram lambs sold for an average of $1790
